Jutsu #3: Jutsu like this are yes and no. We have never seen anyone beside Garra free form control an element. He did so by send his chakra into it. Now that being said we have however seen earth style jutsu that allow you to control rocks to a point. So you need to change it to cause lava to fly in a direction. Because lava release doesn't give you the power to free form control lava. If another staff disagrees with me, then it atleast needs to be higher rank. Also add how long it lasts.

Water release water sky convergence

lol well that kind of proves my point, you are trying to do things with Earth + Fire elements, that water elements can do. Each element is able to do speical properties, like water has a much lower killing power than water. Which is why it can't be free formed controlled like water, as they are different elements. With controlling earth element it is far more difficult, as a A rank technique can only make rocks fall. While with fire element it is impossible. You can't do something with one element and except to do it with another. Now yes water and lava are liquids but it doesn't matter, its the abilities of different chakra types.
